Kevin Allen: If the Penguins lose to Montreal, the squandered chance will haunt them With Evgeni Malkin and Sidney Crosby growing older, this Penguins team is running out of chances to make a run for the Stanley Cup.

It's white knuckle time for the Pens. They could still come back and win this series. They're a veteran team with lots of championship pedigree. But they just look slightly "off" to me. They used to chew up their opponents in the transition game but I'm not seeing that.

The Habs are playing Lucy Goosy and have no pressure on them. They're playing with house money with a stud goalie in net who's giving them alot of confidence. I'm seeing the Pens players making that "one pass too many." This tells me that Carey Price is in their heads.

I used to see this from those great Red Wings teams of the 90s when they'd play against Patrick Roy. Hesitate too long and pass it. When they would normally just rip it. I'd start Jarry in game 3. Sometimes a goalie change can really fire up a team and get them going.

I think also this Habs team is better than we thought they were. I've been VERY impressed with young Kotkaniemi and Suzuki. They've both taken huge steps in their development which bodes very well for the Habs future.

I always enjoy seeing teams battle back and win playoff games. The Habs being down by 2 goals and then coming back to win 4-3 showed alot of heart. And that to me is what the game is all about.

The Habs players could care less about getting Lafreniere. They want to win and they're playing their hearts out. Even if they don't win this series, they should be VERY proud of themselves. Because no one gave them any chance of winning this series.

I don't think that this is something that would "haunt" a player. They were off forever, had 1 "scrimmage" game to get into game shape, and it's only a 5 game series. EVERYONE knows that the play in round is a complete crap shoot.
